Comparison

A flow can only go
where you built it.

ManyChat runs the paths you map out in advance. Amped trains on your coaching content and writes the reply itself — and then keeps going for the clients who already pay you, which is the half of the inbox a lead tool was never meant to cover.

What ManyChat is genuinely good at

Worth saying first, because a comparison that cannot name anything the other tool does better is not a comparison. ManyChat is the most established tool in this category and it earned that. Comment-to-DM triggers are reliable. The flow builder is genuinely good at what it does. It is well documented, widely taught, and it runs on far more than Instagram.

If what you need is a keyword that fires a lead magnet, that is a solved problem and ManyChat solved it.

Where a flow stops being the right shape

A flow is a decision tree. It is excellent when the conversation is predictable and it has nowhere to go when it is not — and a coaching DM stops being predictable at about the second message. Someone replies to your reel with a question about their shoulder, or their schedule, or the price, phrased in a way you did not anticipate, and the tree runs out.

Amped does not select a reply, it writes one — from the videos, PDFs, programmes and coaching notes you uploaded. There is no branch to have forgotten. And when a question falls outside what it has learned, or touches anything sensitive, it hands the thread to you instead of guessing. The checks a reply passes before it can send are set out in full.

The half neither tool covers

This is the bigger difference, and it is easy to miss because the whole category is pointed at one side of it. ManyChat, and the AI setters that have grown up around it, exist to turn strangers into booked calls. That is one job your inbox does.

The other is coaching the people who already pay you — the client mid-programme asking whether to deload, or what to swap a movement for. A lead tool has nothing to say to them, because answering properly means knowing the programme you wrote and it was never given one.

Amped works both sides and keeps them apart on purpose. A confirmed client is answered out of your material. For anyone you have not confirmed, that material is never retrieved in the first place — so it cannot leak to someone who has not bought it. Why the two jobs need separating.

How the two are priced

ManyChat bills on contacts — the number of people who interact with you in a billing period. The structural consequence is that a reel doing unusually well is also a larger invoice, and the cost of a growing audience arrives whether or not any of it converted.

Amped is priced per plan rather than per person who messages you. What each plan includes.
