Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Amped Technologies, Corp (“Amped,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or use our product. Amped provides software that drafts replies to a coach’s Instagram DMs and text messages in their own voice — with the coach either approving each message before it sends or letting a channel send automatically.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to three groups: coaches (the people who create an Amped account and use the product), visitors (anyone who browses this website or joins our waitlist), and the people they message— a coach’s leads and clients. That last group does not have an Amped account, and this policy explains how we handle their information too.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Waitlist details: your email address, and optionally your name, social handle, a short message about your coaching and audience, and the source of your signup.
  • Demo application details: if you apply for access, your email address and Instagram handle, the ranges you select for your audience size and what you charge, how you coach, a link to your podcast or channel, and the example question you tell us you are asked most. We use these to decide whether we can build you a demo and to build it.
  • Account details: if you create a coach account, information such as your name, email, and profile settings.
  • Content you upload: the videos, PDFs, coaching notes, frameworks, and other materials you provide so your AI can learn your voice and methodology.
  • Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details on our servers.

Information from connected channels

When a coach connects a messaging channel, we process the data needed to draft and send replies:

  • Instagram (Meta):if you connect an Instagram account, we access direct messages and related conversation data through Meta’s official APIs, in accordance with Meta’s platform terms, so your AI can draft replies.
  • SMS and MMS (text messaging): if you use SMS, our telephony provider (Twilio) sends and receives texts on your behalf. We process the phone numbers and message content involved in those conversations.
  • Photos sent by text: when a client texts a photo to a coach — a progress photo, for example — we save a copy so the coach can see it in their inbox. Carriers delete the original within days, so a copy is the only way the photo is still there when the coach opens the conversation. These photos are stored privately, are visible only to the coach the client sent them to, and are never made public. When a photo arrives with a written question attached, it is also sent to our AI provider so that the reply can answer what is actually in it — see AI processing below for exactly when that happens and when it does not. We do not currently store video or voice notes sent by text.
  • Lead and client messages: messages sent to a coach through these channels are processed to generate and deliver replies, and to maintain conversation context and history for that coach.

Information collected automatically

When you visit this website, we collect limited, privacy-conscious usage data to understand traffic and improve the product, including: the pages you visit, campaign parameters (UTM tags) in the link you followed, the referring domain, your general device type (mobile or desktop), and a randomly generated session identifier. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.

How we use information

  • • To operate, provide, and improve the Amped product and website.
  • • To train your AI on the content you provide and to draft replies in your voice across your connected channels.
  • • To manage the waitlist and demo applications, build the demo you applied for, and notify you about access and product updates.
  • • To process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • • To provide support and respond to your requests.
  • • To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

To generate replies and understand your content, we send relevant data — such as your uploaded content and incoming messages — to third-party AI providers (including OpenAI) that process it on our behalf. These providers act as our service providers and are not permitted to use your data to train their own models except as allowed under their terms. Amped is designed to keep a human in the loop: by default a coach reviews and approves replies before they send, unless the coach explicitly lets a channel send automatically.

Photos sent by text

Photos follow a narrower rule than anything else we process, and what decides it is whether the person wrote anything alongside the picture.

  • A photo sent with a written question— “which of these should I get?” — is sent to our AI provider together with that question, because the question cannot be answered without seeing the picture.
  • A photo sent with no message is not sent to any AI provider at all. It is saved for the coach, the coach is notified that it arrived, and the AI does not reply. That conversation is handed to a person.

Where a photo shows a person, the coach decides in their settings what their AI may do about it: answer it, write the reply but hold it for the coach to read and send, or stay out of the conversation and hand it over. New accounts start on hold-for-review, so no coach’s AI comments on anybody’s body until that coach has chosen to let it.

To be precise about what that setting does and does not control: it governs what the AI says back. A photo that arrives with a written question is sent to our AI provider either way, because whether the picture shows a person is itself something only the AI can tell us. A photo sent with no message is never sent, whatever the setting says.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers: vendors that help us run the product, such as hosting and database (Supabase, Vercel), AI processing (OpenAI), messaging (Meta, Twilio), payments (Stripe), and internal notifications (Discord). They may only use the data to provide services to us.
  • Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Amped, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

SMS and mobile information

Where a coach uses Amped’s text messaging, we collect the mobile phone number you text from, the content of those messages, and your consent and opt-out status. We use this only to carry the conversation between you and your coach, and to honour opt-out requests.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. See the Terms of Service for full messaging terms.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the product and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data, and we will do so unless we are required to retain it. Waitlist entries and demo applications are kept until you ask us to remove you or until we no longer need them.

Photos sent by text are kept for as long as the conversation they belong to. When a conversation is deleted — by the coach, or at your request — the photos in it are deleted along with it. If you have texted a coach and want your photos removed, you can ask the coach directly or contact us using the details below.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

  • Access and correction: you can request a copy of your personal information or ask us to correct it.
  • Deletion: you can ask us to delete your account and personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Waitlist and marketing: you can ask to be removed from the waitlist or opt out of marketing emails at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Third-party platforms and clients

When a coach uses Amped, the people who message that coach interact through third-party platforms (such as Instagram or their phone’s messaging app). Those platforms have their own privacy policies that govern their handling of your data. A coach’s use of Amped to reply to their leads and clients is also subject to that coach’s own practices.

Children’s privacy

Amped is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International users

We are based in the United States and process data there and in other countries where our service providers operate. By using Amped, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be communicated to you directly.
